STATIC VOLTAGE CONVERTER Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC H02M3/335

Abstract RU 2766184 C1

FIELD: transportation.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and railway transport and is used to provide electric power to consumers of own needs of railway vehicles. Technical result is achieved due to the fact that the static voltage converter has a choke at the input with at least two parallel or series-connected converter cells connected through a transformer to a bridge voltage inverter. Converter cell consists of a three-level step-up voltage converter and a voltage inverter connected to it, made of semiconductor switches and power capacitors. Each voltage inverter is connected to its primary winding of the transformer, to the output of which there is also connected a bridge voltage inverter made of semiconductor switches. In case of parallel connection of conversion cells, a throttle is connected to each cell at the input. With parallel or series connection of two conversion cells, each pair has one transformer and one bridge voltage inverter. When using at least two bridge voltage inverters, they are connected at the output in parallel or in series. Control of converter cells and bridge voltage inverter is performed by digital control controller.

EFFECT: expansion of the range of permissible input voltage and increase in output power of the converter for supplying a large number of consumers with simultaneous possibility of operation in reverse conversion mode; also, the technical result is reduction of ripple of input current of converter at parallel connection of conversion cells.
