FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the DC power at the input conversion to the DC power at the output. Voltage converter contains a choke and a control system, to which a contactor and the starting current limiting device and overvoltage protection at the converter input are connected. Converter additionally contains two converting cells, in series connected by the input and in series with the choke, the converting cells are made according to the two-stage scheme. First stage is made according to the three level step-up voltage regulator scheme, containing two power switches, two diodes, two capacitors, which form the capacitive voltage divider. Second stage is the half-bridge resonant converter, where as the power switches a pair of in series connected semiconductor switches is used. Half-bridge resonant converters load are the one common transformer primary windings, which output windings are loaded on the rectifiers. Rectifier outputs are in parallel connected for connection to the voltage converter load terminals.
EFFECT: reducing the voltage and dynamic losses on the semiconductor switches and increase in the electricity conversion frequency.
