FIELD: nuclear technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of nuclear technology, in particular, to methods for analytical determination of the mass content of Ru, Rh, Pd, Mo, and Zr in nitride irradiated nuclear fuel. The method includes deposition of Ru, Rh, Pd, Mo, and Zr from a solution of nitride irradiated nuclear fuel, followed by determining the mass content thereof using an atomic emission spectral method with an arc spectral source. Ru, Rh, Pd, Mo, and Zr are deposited by introducing a co-precipitant solution consisting of a mixture of solutions of Zn, Ga and Bi with concentrations for Zn of 6.5 g/dm3, for Ga of 3.5 g/dm3 and for Bi of 7.9 g/dm3 into a solution of nitride irradiated nuclear fuel, evaporating to wet salts, and calcining to remove nitric acid, resulting in a precipitate dissolved in water in the presence of a precipitant in the form of potassium carbonate and sodium tetraborate, filtered and washed with a solution of potassium carbonate, dried in air.
EFFECT: invention provides a possibility of simultaneously determining the content of Ru, Rh, Pd, Mo, and Zr in nitride irradiated nuclear fuel with a determination error not exceeding relative 25%.
