FIELD: dentistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a dental furnace for firing dental ceramic masses. The dental furnace has a firing chamber for receiving fired ceramic elements and a heating device for heating/firing a ceramic element. The heating device has at least one fast heating element for generating infrared radiation in the range from 0.8 to 5 mcm. The heating element has one or more resistive heating conductors consisting of tungsten and/or molybdenum. The resistive heating conductors are located in a gas-filled chamber made of a material permeable to infrared radiation and heat-resistant at least up to 1100 °C, while the heating elements are located inside the firing chamber which has at least one reflective element for directing radiation from at least one heating element towards the ceramic element. The reflective element has a parabolic cross section.
EFFECT: invention accelerates the process of firing dental ceramic materials and improves their quality.
