FIELD: conducting autonomous testing techniques.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a technique for conducting autonomous testing of spark plugs both in the process of conducting experimental design work on their development, and during autonomous life tests of the spark plugs. A device for testing and checking the performance of spark plugs is proposed, which contains: an air chamber housing, an air inlet connection on the air chamber housing, a pressure gauge, a source of increased pressure, a high-pressure line connecting the air inlet, a pressure gauge and a source of increased pressure, a power source, a high-voltage cable connecting the outlet of the ignition unit to the spark plug under test, the device additionally includes an air outlet, a thermocouple hermetic inlet, a heating element power inlet, a heating element, thermal insulation, a thermocouple, an electromagnetic inlet valve, an electromagnetic outlet valve, a pressure regulator, a temperature controller, and a test control unit. The heating element is installed inside the air chamber casing on the tested spark plug, the thermal insulation separates the heating element from the rest of the air volume inside the air chamber casing and the air chamber itself, the thermocouple is located inside the thermal insulation in the immediate vicinity of the tested spark plug.
EFFECT: increasing the reliability of reproduction in autonomous conditions of parameters affecting the spark plugs of external influencing factors that take place on a gas turbine engine.
