FIELD: engine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aircraft engine building, particularly, to assessment of technical condition of spark plugs during their operation and during repair of aircraft engines for analysis of possibility of their further application on aircraft engines. Method of spark plugs technical condition control consists in checking spark protection continuity in spark plug interelectrode, spark gap between spark plug electrodes, as well as the value of the ceramic insulator end surface deepening in the spark gap of spark plugs.
EFFECT: invention allows improving reliability of control of technical condition of spark plugs, evaluation of their residual life, making it possible to determine necessity of replacement of spark plug after engine repair.
