SUBSTANCE: invention relates to underwater shipbuilding, namely to autonomous uninhabited underwater vehicles. The thruster of an autonomous unmanned underwater vehicle includes vertical and horizontal water conduits in the form of tunnels, located in the transverse plane of the apparatus, and a propeller with an electric motor for its drive, located in the body of the underwater vehicle. The thruster of an autonomous unmanned underwater vehicle differs in that it contains a horizontal water conduit, in which a propeller is located, the axis of rotation of which is located horizontally. The horizontal water conduit in its aft part is connected to one pair of water conduits, horizontal and vertical, and in the aft part it is connected to another pair of water conduits, horizontal and vertical. A damper with a closing-opening drive is installed on each water conduit.

EFFECT: reduced weight and size characteristics of underwater vehicle thruster, increased reliability of its operation.
