FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment, namely to a method and an autoinjector for the injection of a drug. The autoinjector contains a case; a cartridge receiver made with the possibility of receiving a cartridge containing the first seal; a drive module made with the possibility of moving a plunger rod between a retracted position of the plunger rod and an extended position of the plunger rod, while the plunger rod is made with the possibility of moving the first seal; a resistance sensor made with the possibility of issuing a resistance signal characterizing the resistance to movement of the plunger rod; as well as a data processing unit connected to the drive module and to the resistance sensor. The data processing unit is made with the possibility of controlling the drive module for moving the plunger rod in the direction of the extended position of the plunger rod with the speed of the plunger rod; determining a position of the plunger rod; receiving the resistance signal; as well as controlling the drive module to adjust the movement of the plunger rod, if the resistance signal indicates that the resistance to movement of the plunger rod exceeds an upper resistance threshold, while the upper resistance threshold is based on the position of the plunger rod.
EFFECT: obtaining an autoinjector.
