FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to analytical chemistry and can be used in food industry, perfumery, as well as for analysis of aldehydes in environmental objects and disinfectants. Method for voltammetric determination of aldehydes at the interface of two immiscible electrolyte solutions involves determination, using an auxiliary Girard T reagent, which forms a charged imine derivative with the analysed substance, capable to carry out interphase transfer at interface of two immiscible phases of electrolytes under action of difference of interphase potentials, in the presence of an auxiliary electrode and an indicator electrode with a gel membrane consisting of ortho-nitrophenyl-octyl ether (o-NPOE), tetradodecylammonium tetrakis-4-chlorophenyl borate (TDATPBCl) and polyvinyl chloride (PVC), and an auxiliary electrode relative to a saturated silver chloride electrode of the aqueous phase - 10-2 M LiCl, with subsequent recording of ion currents proportional to the concentration of the analysed substances in DC cyclic voltammetry mode at potential sweep rate of 12 mV/s, with current measurement range of 200/20 mA and potential range from -0.2 to 0.7 V.
EFFECT: higher selectivity and sensitivity of the method.
