FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention concerns analytical chemistry, particularly voltamperometric methods for medicine assay. Claimed voltamperic method of lidocaine hydrochloride [(2-diethylamine)-N(2,6-dimethylphenyl)acetamide in hydrochloride form] assay involves electrochemical concentration of lidocaine hydrochloride on the surface of mercury film electrode for 32 s at electrolysis potential of (-1.3)V in 0.01 mol/l of potassium hydroxide solution, followed by registration of anode voltamperic curves at direct current potential scan speed of 55 mV/s and determination of lidocaine hydrochloride concentration by peak height at (-0.6)V potential against silver chloride electrode. Claimed method enhances assay sensitivity (10-5 - 10-9 mg/ml) and rapidity (single assay takes not more than 10 minutes).
EFFECT: enhanced assay sensitivity and rapidity.
