FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method of determining iodide ions by cathodic voltammetry is carried out on a silver electrode in a background solution 0.1 M of sodium acetate, while maintaining the potential of electrolysis in the range of potentials (-0.15±0.05) V at a sweep speed of 20 mV/s - 50 mV/s from 1 min to 3 min. The iodide ion is reduced on the electrode surface in the form of an insoluble compound with silver. The analytical signal is recorded and evaluated by the additive method.
EFFECT: reducing the lower limit of the determined contents and using the environmental friendly silver electrode.
