FIELD: determination of concentration of cations, in particular, determination of thulium cations in aqueous solutions. SUBSTANCE: use is made of a mercury film electrode on a silver base, and background of 0.9 to 1.1 M KCl with a pH-value of 3.3 to 3.7. The voltamperegram is plotted at cathode linear sweep of the electrode potential within 1.5 to 1.9V. Concentration of thulium is determined according to the peak value on the voltamperegram with the use of the calibration chart. EFFECT: facilitated procedure. 2 dwg
