FIELD: coatings.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an impregnating machine for applying coatings onto a flexible roll base. The technical result is achieved by an impregnating machine including a frame, secured whereon is a detachable roller with a brake mechanism with an initial flexible base placed on the roller in a roll, detachable guiding rollers, a detachable heated impregnation bath with apparatuses for creating longitudinal vibrations in the impregnation liquid installed on the bath, a detachable impregnating roller on a fixed axis, and an apparatus transporting the flexible base. A detachable pressure roller with a diameter of no more than the diameter of the impregnating roller is therein located next to the impregnating roller parallel thereto on a horizontally movable axis. The axes of both rollers therein lie in the same horizontal plane, and the pressure roller is capable of moving toward the impregnating roller and back under the impact of the adjustable pressure apparatus secured on the frame. A second detachable roller with a brake mechanism, whereon a protective roll material is placed, is installed on the frame. The transporting apparatus constitutes a terminal detachable roller for winding the finished impregnated roll material together with the protective material, installed on the frame and driven by a drive with an adjustable rotation speed. The detachable heated impregnation bath is equipped with a heating jacket with an inlet and outlet for the heat carrier heating the bath, a nozzle for supplying the impregnating liquid, installed in the bottom of the bath, height-adjustable overflow pipes for draining excess impregnating liquid, installed in the bottom of the bath, the upper edge whereof is located horizontally at a height h from the lower point of the impregnating roller, equal to 0.01 to 0.30D, wherein D is the diameter of the impregnating roller. The apparatuses for creating longitudinal oscillations in the impregnating liquid, installed on the impregnation bath, are therein located on the outside of the bath and constitutes activator vibration drives with an adjustable frequency in the range from 10 to 1,000 hertz.
EFFECT: expanded range of possibilities for selection of the initial flexible roll bases, lengths, widths and thicknesses thereof, and applied materials, structural and application simplification, and improved fullness of impregnation.
