FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and can be used in designing electromagnetic devices for various purposes. Electromagnetic device winding is made in the form of a helical spiral consisting of flat turns, made of a metal pipe, the outer and inner diameters of which are equal to the corresponding winding diameters, by cutting the pipe wall along a helical line on a metal-working machine, for example, a lathe, or with a laser with a cross-lengthwise feed of the cutting tool corresponding to the width and thickness of the turn.
EFFECT: reduced volume and weight of various electromagnetic devices — transformers, throttles, et cetera, by increasing the filling factor of the magnetic circuit window with conductor material, as well as improving cooling conditions.
