MODULAR INFLATABLE RADAR REFLECTOR Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC H01Q15/18

Abstract RU 2767017 C1

FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radar reflectors intended for protection of surface ships. Essence: modular inflatable radar reflector comprises a pneumatic shell in the form of an octahedron and a group of corner reflectors located inside it. Reflector carrier is an unmanned motor boat equipped with basic systems ensuring its operation, including control and power supply systems. Reflector is additionally equipped with a sealed reservoir to accommodate a pneumatic shell in an idle state, a valve unit including an electromagnetic two-way valve, a bleed union and a cable entry, as well as a facility for air inflation into the pneumatic shell. Valve unit is rigidly attached to the bottom of the reservoir by means of a feedthrough union, which is connected via the working medium with the electromagnetic two-way valve. Latter, by means of delivery and suction air ducts, is connected to the air supercharging device into the pneumatic casing, which in idle state is placed inside the reservoir and by its lower part is tightly fixed on the part of the feedthrough fitting protruding into the reservoir. Cover is attached to the upper part of the pneumatic shell with the possibility of tight closure of the reservoir in the non-working state of the reflector. Reflector is equipped with a mounting platform, to which the reservoir is tightly and rigidly attached. In the unmanned motor boat hull in its diametrical plane under the deck there is a sealed standard place, in which a modular inflatable radar reflector assembly is arranged and fixed by means of a mounting platform with the possibility of bringing its pneumatic shell into an operating position in the form of an octahedron above the unmanned motor boat deck. Modular reflector control and power supply systems are connected to motor boat control and power supply systems.

EFFECT: providing a detachable small-size module of an inflatable radar reflector with the possibility of multiple use on an unmanned motor boat.
