FIELD: veterinary medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of increasing the productivity of pig offspring and is the use of calcium-binding substance selected from a group consisting of phosphoric acid, phytic acid, phytate, polyphosphate, tripolyphosphate, phosphate and cellulose phosphate to reduce or prevent stillbirth of newborns in sow. Calcium-binding substance is added to the diet of a pregnant sow for a period of at least 1-5 days before delivery.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to reduce the number of stillbirths in sow.
