SUBSTANCE: this invention relates to fodder production, in particular, to production of a fodder additive ensuring nutritive accessibility of metal for animals; the additive contains at least one compound selected from the group consisting of glutamic N,N-diacetic acid (GLDA), a complex of a metal and GLDA, a GLDA sodium salt, a GLDA potassium salt, methylglycine-N,N-diacetic acid (MGDA), a complex of a metal and MGDA, a MGDA sodium salt and a MGDA potassium salt. The metal is selected from the group including zinc, copper, iron, manganese, cobalt, chrome, calcium and magnesium. The invention also relates to an animal fodder, drinking water for animals, salt licks and premixes containing the above fodder additive and at least one compound selected from the group consisting of proteins, fats, Carbohydrates, mineral substances, vitamins, vitamin precursors and water or other food liquids.

EFFECT: implementation of the group of inventions allows to reduce the levels of metals introduction into animal fodder products through increasing accessibility of metals in animal fodder products.
