FIELD: polymer production.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for producing chromium-modified garnet fibers. Polymer fibers are formed at 160-200°C from fiber-forming organochromiumoxane yttriumoxane aluminumoxane oligomers with a molar ratio of Al:Y = 1.5-2.5 and Al:Cr=100-250. Further step-by-step heat treatment at 900°C in an atmosphere of nitrogen or argon and 1200-1500°C in an atmosphere of air leads to the formation of ceramic garnet fibers modified with chromium, with a diameter of 10 to 150 microns.

EFFECT: expansion of the range of solutions for obtaining chromium-modified garnet fibers.
