FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of producing modified fibres of aluminium oxide to create new materials, which will enable to work in oxidative media at high temperatures and loads, while providing reduced weight of aircraft. Method of producing modified aluminium oxide fibres involves melt spinning of polymer fibres at 60–160 °C from fibre-forming organo-yttrium oxanaluminoxanes with molar ratio Al:Y = 100–200 or organomagnesium oxanitrix oxanaluminoxanes with molar ratio Al:Y = 160–200 and Al:Mg = 160–200 with further stepped heat treatment at 1200–1300 °C, which leads to formation of ceramic alumina fibres modified with high-temperature compounds of yttrium and magnesium.
EFFECT: disclosed is a method of producing modified aluminium oxide fibres.
