FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the chemical industry in production of semiconductor and luminescent materials. The method for producing calcium sulphide from phosphogypsum includes mixing of phosphogypsum and a reducing agent, homogenisation, and heat treatment at 700 to 800°C for 60 min. Sunflower seed oil is used as a reducing agent. The initial substances in the ratio phosphogypsum:sunflower seed oil 3.2 to 4.2:1 are homogenised for 18 to 20 seconds in a mixer with a power of 0.45 kW at a rate of 1,500 rpm.
EFFECT: invention provides a possibility of reducing the costs for production of calcium sulphide due to the use of an inexpensive reducing agent and reduction in the duration of homogenisation.
