FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: protein-enriched food product contains protein powder based on brewer grains, having amino acid digestibility coefficient of proteins PDCAAS from 0.7 to 1.0 and average molecular weight from 500 to 15,000 Da. Food product includes a dry food product, where the protein powder is present in an amount of up to 50 % of the weight of the dry food product or where the food product includes a liquid food product, where the protein powder is present in an amount of up to 50 % of the weight of the liquid solution. Method for preparation of the food product enriched with protein is implemented as follows. Food product is composed and a protein powder based on brewer grains is added, where the protein powder has PDCAAS from 0.7 to 1.0 and average molecular weight from 500 to 15,000 Da. Food product includes dry food product, where protein powder is added in such amount that protein powder is present in amount of up to 50 % of dry food product weight or, where the food product includes a liquid food product and the protein powder is added in such an amount that the protein powder is present in an amount of up to 50 % of the weight of the liquid solution.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides a protein powder, a food product with increased protein content, having improved appearance and taste characteristics.
