FIELD: engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aerohydraulic equipment, namely, to bladeless propellers, and is intended for creating thrust for water transport objects and aerial vehicles. Apparatus for creating reactive thrust comprises fixed outer shells, a stator, a straightener, a rotating rotor, a drive ensuring rotation of the rotor, and a working fluid inlet. The rotor is made of two or more smooth, curved, expanding coaxial shells. The straightener consists of two or more smooth, thin-walled coaxial shells. Working channels are located between the shells of the rotor and the straightener, wherein the working fluid moves. The working fluid enters the working channels of the straightener after passing the working channels of the rotor. Technological gaps filled with air lubrication are made between the rotor and the stator, as well as between the rotor and the outer shell. Also proposed is a method for creating reactive thrust using the claimed apparatus.

EFFECT: implementation of the invention provides an increase in the propulsive efficiency, a reduction in the value of the hydrodynamic resistance coefficient, a reduction in the area of the midsection.
