FIELD: weapons and ammunition.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of ammunition for hunting weapons, in particular, for equipment of hunting bullet cartridges. Pyroxylin powder for 5.56×45 caliber hunting cartridge with bullet weight from 3.5 g to 3.75 g is made in the form of single-channel grains with length of not less than 0.90 mm and not more than 1.20 mm with channel diameter of not less than 0.09 mm and not more than 0.15 mm. Thickness of the burning vault is not less than 0.27 mm and not more than 0.31 mm. Powder contains pyroxylin BA, diphenylamine, residual process components in the form of volatile substances removed by drying and non-removable volatile substances, graphite as an antistatic additive. As phlegmatizing agent it contains oligoester acrylate TGM-3 and contains potassium sulphate as blowing agent and flame-retardant substance. Content of components, wt% of the following: diphenylamine 1.0–2.0, volatile substances removed by drying 0.7–1.5, non-removable volatile substances not less than 0.2, potassium sulphate not more than 0.5, graphite not more than 0.4, oligoester acrylate TGM-3, not more than 2.8, pyroxylin BA — the rest.

EFFECT: providing more stable ballistic characteristics, flameless shot, reduced amount of hazardous substances in powder gases during shot.
