FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to cardiovascular surgery. Transesophageal echocardiography is performed and the length of the middle part of the anterior leaflet of the mitral valve is measured in the region of the A2 segment from the place of its attachment to the fibrous ring to the free edge of the leaflet at the point of coaptation. The obtained value is taken as the target diameter of the fibrous ring of the mitral valve, after which the target circumference of the fibrous ring is calculated according to the original formula. Then the required length of the autopericardial strip is calculated using the formula l=2/3*L, where l is the length of the autopericardial strip in mm, L is the existing circumference of the annulus in mm.
EFFECT: method enables anatomical correction of the mitral valve, reducing the risk of complications in the postoperative period.
