SUBSTANCE: target diameter of the mitral valve annulus fibrosus (Dtarget) is determined. Then the target circumference of the annulus fibrosus (L) is determined as L=πDtarget. The diameter of the mitral valve annulus of the patient (Dpatient) is then determined. Then the circumference of the patient’s mitral valve annulus fibrosus (L1) is calculated as L1=πD of the patient, then the anterior semicircle of the patient's mitral valve annulus (L2) is determined as L2=L1:3, then the length of the vascular graft strip (L3) is calculated as L3=L-L2. A measured strip of the L3 vascular graft is cut off. Restrictive posterior annuloplasty of the mitral valve is performed by fixing a measured strip of vascular prosthesis along the posterior semicircle of the fibrous ring of the mitral valve from the outer to the inner commissure using U-shaped sutures with felt pads using a 2-0 braided non-absorbable thread. U-shaped sutures are applied in the transverse direction relative to the fibrous ring, capturing the wall of the left atrium.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to prevent mitral regurgitation and left ventricular failure in the postoperative period, reduce the time of artificial ventilation, and shorten the patient's stay in the hospital.
