SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to cardiosurgery. Strip is taken from the anterior surface of the pericardium, stabilized in 0.6% solution of glutaric aldehyde for 10 minutes, washed in physiologic saline with 0.9% sodium chloride. Fibrous ring of the mitral valve is sutured along the base of the posterior leaf at approach of 8-10 mm above the anterior and posterior commissure with U-sutures. Distance between commissures along line of semi-circle of fibrous ring is measured by means of ligature. Autopericardial strip of the measured length is sutured with sutures that have previously been sutured fibrous ring by turning it serous surface outwards. Strip is lowered along sutures and laid on fibrous ring.

EFFECT: method enables reducing a risk of a macrophage-lymphocyte reaction to pericardium, improving medium-term treatment results, improving anatomical performance of the operation and reducing its length.
