FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for extracting magnesium compounds from an ore containing calcium phosphate. The method for extracting magnesium compounds from ore containing calcium phosphate includes mixing the ore with a solution of nitric or hydrochloric acid, taken in an amount of 80-100% of that required for complete dissolution of calcium and magnesium carbonates at a temperature of 0-100°C, the treated ore is separated by filtration, the resulting filtrate is corrected with nitric or hydrochloric acid and used to process a new portion of the ore until the concentration of magnesium ions in the filtrate reaches 0.01-2.0 M, after which the filtrate is replaced with a new fresh portion of the ore processing acid solution, and the resulting filtrate is then mixed with a sodium sulfate solution with a concentration of 1-400 g/l, taken at the rate of 0-10% over stoichiometry, the calcium sulfate precipitate is separated by filtration, the resulting filtrate mixes with a saturated solution of sodium bicarbonate, or with a solution of sodium carbonate with a concentration of 1-210 g/l to precipitate magnesium carbonate or magnesium hydroxocarbonate, the resulting filtrate containing sodium nitrate or chloride is used to obtain solid sodium nitrate or chloride, the precipitate of magnesium carbonate or hydroxocarbonate, if necessary, is mixed with a solution of nitric or hydrochloric acid to obtain magnesium nitrate or chloride.
EFFECT: invention provides the possibility of extracting magnesium compounds from ore containing calcium phosphate.
