FIELD: chemical or physical processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of purifying a solution used in separation by a flotation method of a solid mixture of potassium and sodium chlorides contained in natural ore. Solution to be purified is subjected to sequential treatment, which consists in the fact that suspended substances are separated by settling or filtration, ions of heavy metals are removed in the form of sediments of their hydroxides, sulphate ions are removed in the form of calcium sulphate sediment by introduction of excess calcium ions, calcium and magnesium ions are removed in the form of sediments of their carbonates.
EFFECT: purification of flotation solution saturated with potassium and sodium chloride is provided, which is used for flotation concentration of natural ore containing potassium and sodium chloride.
