FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway transport, particularly, to friction dampers for railway car bogies. Replaceable friction linings are arranged on inclined and horizontal surfaces of the friction wedge. Lining on the vertical surface is made with a metal frame and is connected to the wedge by means of a dovetail joint. Lining on the inclined surface is made with a double projection or with several double projections. Thickness of the working part of the lining on the vertical surface is from 0.5 to 0.7 of the thickness of the lining on the inclined surface. Lining on the vertical surface is made of a polymer composite friction material with a steel friction coefficient of 0.3–0.4. Lining on the inclined surface is made of vulkollan with steel friction coefficient of 0.2–0.25.
EFFECT: providing symmetrical wear of friction linings.
