SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely dentistry, and can be used for the treatment of chronic recurrent aphthous stomatitis (HRAS) as part of complex therapy. The method involves exposure to optical radiation. Before irradiation, glycerin is applied to the entire mucous membrane of the oral cavity for 10 minutes, then the mouth is rinsed with warm boiled water, irradiation is carried out throughout the oral cavity with ultraviolet (UV) radiation in the wavelength range of 200-400 nm for 12 minutes once a day for 6-12 days.
EFFECT: use of the invention makes it possible to increase the effectiveness of treatment by increasing the depth of penetration of radiation deep into the gums.
