FIELD: measurement technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to research of quasi-isentropic compressibility of gases in megabar pressure range. Device for investigating quasi-isentropic compressibility of gases comprises a cylindrical explosive charge, inside which cylindrical gasket made of plexiglass or polyethylene, first and second steel shells are coaxially installed in series. In the cavity of the second steel shell along the longitudinal axis there is a metal rod, one end of which is fixed in the first end flange. On the inner and outer surfaces of the gasket there are electric contact sensors. One of the end flanges is made with possibility of gas inlet. In addition, a measuring receiver is introduced, which is installed along the longitudinal axis of the device in series through a gap with a metal rod. Measuring receiver is made in the form of a steel tube, in which there are collimating sensors arranged according to the heterodyne-interferometer circuit, and light guides of the pyrometer. One end of the steel tube is tightly fixed in the second end flange, and a mirror in the form of a truncated cone is installed on the other end through a transparent gasket. Collimating sensors are installed with the possibility of probing the inner surface of the second steel shell.
EFFECT: design of the device enables to obtain, in a single experiment, the entire set of data required for calibrating design codes.
