SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a laboratory method for determining the quantitative content of a multifunctional detergent additive in automotive gasoline. The method for determining the concentration of a detergent additive based on polyolefinalkylphenolalkylamine, which is HITEC 6473, in gasoline by infrared spectrometry includes: preliminary concentration of the specified additive by evaporation of a gasoline sample containing the additive with a jet of heated air until volatile fractions of gasoline are completely removed with the formation of a dry residue; dissolution of the specified residue in dichloromethane with dilution with dichloromethane to the predetermined volume 10-20 times smaller than the initial volume, and infrared spectrometry to determine the concentration of the additive.
EFFECT: determination of the additive content in gasoline in ultra-low concentrations.
