FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a metallurgical unit and systems for electrolysis of molten oxides. Metallurgical unit comprises a refractory vessel having sides and a base, a lid detachably coupled with the refractory vessel and configured to form a seal with the refractory vessel, wherein the cover forms a plurality of through holes, and a current tap adjacent to the base of the refractory vessel. Base forms a plurality of holes located in the center inside the base, and the current collector has current-conducting protrusions located inside said plurality of holes located at the center inside the base. Sides and the base at least partially form the inner volume of the refractory vessel. Refractory vessel comprises at least two layers of material, wherein outer layer comprises insulating material, note here that inner layer comprises material chemically compatible with electrolyte contained in refractory vessel inner space.
EFFECT: enabling use of waste gas heat during melt processing and facilitating continuous processing.
