FIELD: engine technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of restoring the serviceable condition of the compressor blades of a gas turbine engine by welding and can be used for non-removable blades. The method includes performing a curved recess on the damaged area of the feather of the blade being restored, connecting the insert with the feather of the blade being restored in the recess area, welding the insert to the feather of the blade being restored. In this case, the insert is performed with curved rounded protrusions or grooves corresponding in shape and size to the grooves or protrusions of the recess in the feather of the blade being restored, providing engagement of the insert in the recess of the feather of the blade being restored according to the “puzzle” mode, and preventing the movement of the insert in the plane of the feather of the blade being restored.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to improve the quality of restoration of the blades of a gas turbine engine compressor by welding with increasing the strength of the permanent connection of the insert with the undamaged part of the feather of the blade being restored.
