FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and may be used for recovery of operating performances of operating and guide vanes of steam turbines, gas transfer plants and gas turbine engines. Proposed method comprises making a cylindrical recess on vane body damaged section, cylinder circle center being located behind vane edge, making disk-like insert with contact surface mating that of aforesaid recess, fitting insert with vane root in recess zone, welding insert to said body and machining it to vane preset shape. Friction welding is performed in rotating the insert about it axis at speed and pressing force that ensure welded joint between insert and vane body in recess zone making 0.4-1.0 of the vane main material strength.
EFFECT: reduced labor input, higher performances of recovered vanes, lower residual machinal strain.
