FIELD: mechanical engineering; gas-turbine engines.

SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes removal of damaged part of blade feather. Then part of blade feather not subject to repair, after removal of damaged part, is connected with repair member which is used instead of removed part of blade feather and welded to blade. Repair member in form of insert with slot, 4 mm deep minimum, is used, with profile and dimensions corresponding to part of blade feather not subject to repair. Joint is formed by connection of insert and part of blade feather not subject to repair over at least 90% of contact surface. Welding is carried out in plane of connection of end face part of blade feather not subject to repair with surface of insert after which welded-to insert is machined mechanically.

EFFECT: improved quality of repair of wheels of gas-turbine engine with replacement of damaged section on wheels at minimum deformations of member under repair.
