FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and may be used for recovery of operating performances of operating and guide vanes of steam turbines, gas transfer plants and gas turbine engines. Proposed method comprises producing recess on vane root damaged section, making an insert with shape mating that of said recess, jointing said insert with vane root in recess zone, welding the insert to vane root and uniform machining to preset vane shape. Insert is butt-jointed with the vane root in recess zone. Insert is made in the form of pin with end face mating the recess shape. Welding is performed by friction in revolving pin-shaped insert about its lengthwise axis and at pressing force that allows strength of joint in recess zone varying from 0.4 to 1.0 of that between main metal of the vane.
EFFECT: reduced labour input, higher operating performances of reclaimed vanes.
