SUBSTANCE: invention relates to continuous casting combined with rolling. The combined continuous casting and rolling unit (10) for the manufacture of a hot-rolled product from a hot infinite billet (85) cast using the continuous casting method contains a rough group (30) of roll mill stands, a dispensing device (76), a first conveying device (65), a quenching device (70) and a cutting device (31). The continuously cast billet (95) is rolled in the rough group (30) of roll mill stands into a rough strip (105). The cutting device (31) cuts off the first section of the rolled rough strip (105) to obtain a segment (185), which is removed by the issuing device (76), transported by the device (65) to the quenching device (70) and tempered. The transport device (65) connects the cutting device (31) with the quenching device (70). A section of the rolled rough strip can be further processed after quenching.

EFFECT: increase in the yield of a suitable product is provided by reducing the proportion of the product transferred to scrap.
