FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: multistage pump comprising a first stage and a second stage, each stage having an impeller located on the pump rotor, wherein each impeller has a hub side and a blade space side, and each impeller is configured to pump liquid through the pump, which applies axial pressure load caused by pressure difference in axial direction from hub side to blade space side of each impeller; and casing of first and second stages of pump, wherein each casing is made with formation of casing shell containing components of the first stage and the second stage, including each impeller, and is also made with one or more holes of the pump casing, made in it and allowing flow through the pump casing of at least a certain amount of liquid pumped from the inside of the casing shell to the outside, in order to significantly reduce the axial pressure load caused by the pressure difference in the axial direction from the side of the hub to the side of the blade space of each impeller.

EFFECT: disclosed is a multistage pump with improved head balancing properties.
