FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates a non-aqueous electrochemical cell having a heat-resistant coating on at least one of a negative electrode, a positive electrode, and a separator. Heat-resistant coating may consume heat in cell to stabilise cell, act as an electrical insulator to prevent cell from short circuiting. High mechanical strength and compression resistance of component with said coating is technical result of invention. In certain embodiments heat-resistant coating is used as solid electrolyte for obtaining solid electrochemical cell.
EFFECT: invention also discloses methods of making an electrochemical cell with heat-resistant coating.
