FIELD: continuous casting.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to continuous casting. The mold copper plate (100) contains a die surface (102) and a rear stationary cooling surface (101). Mounting screw holes (111) are made on the surface (101) in vertical columns, connected to a water tank or an adapter base plate, and thickenings (112) forming elements surrounding these holes. Stiffening ribs (113) are installed between the thickenings in each column. Cooling channels (120) are made below the stationary surface between two adjacent columns of mounting screw holes. In the middle of the meniscus regions of the cooling channels (120), cooling fins (122) deflecting the flow are made. The upper or lower end of the cooling rib (122) is made in the form of a conical angle and provides changes in the direction of movement of the cooling medium. The cooling fins increase the cooling surface area of the meniscus regions and reduce the cross-sectional areas of the cooling channels, which increases the flow rate of the cooling medium. The conical angle creates turbulence in the flow of the cooling medium when it collides with it.
EFFECT: enhanced cooling effect and increased cooling capacity.
