FIELD: metallurgy, namely molds for continuous casting of bar billets, round or polygonal billets.
SUBSTANCE: mold includes copper sleeve with supporting body. In copper sleeve or in supporting body along the whole periphery cooling ducts are distributed for directing cooling water. Said ducts are arranged practically along the whole length of mold. Cooling ducts are restricted by supporting and joining ribs; said supporting ribs support copper sleeve on supporting body and joining ribs join copper sleeve and supporting body preventing motion across billet axis.
EFFECT: improved cooling capability of mold, high casting speed without increasing limits of thermally admissible load of copper material, enhanced stability of mold shape due to prevention of occurring of rhombic cross section of billet.
