FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: liquid-cooled mold for metal continuous casting includes transition plate and secured to it by means of bolts plates of copper or copper alloy. There is gap for cooling agent between plate of mold and transition plate. Mold plate has at its cooled side flat protrusions extending into gap for cooling agent. Said protrusions have streamlined contour corresponding to flow direction of cooling agent. Fastening bolts are secured to flat protrusions of mold plate.
EFFECT: improved operation condition of mold, simplified process for making it.
