FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering. In a method for synchronizing a signal in multichannel radio receivers, in the process of signal search, the signal delay is determined with an accuracy of up to a value of τ equal to half the duration of an element of a pseudo-random sequence. The values of the cross-correlation function of the complex envelope of the input signal and the reference pseudo-random sequence are calculated. At each step of the signal delay estimation, the values of the cross-correlation function are calculated. The next element of the sequence is determined, corresponding to the maximum value of the modulus of the cross-correlation function. The current estimate of the delay offset and the rate of its change are formed. Increase and decrease certain values and determine the current time position of the signal.
EFFECT: accuracy of time delay tracking is improved.
