SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering. In a method for synchronizing a signal in multichannel radio receivers, in the process of signal search, the signal delay is determined with an accuracy of up to a value of τ equal to half the duration of an element of a pseudo-random sequence. The values ​​of the cross-correlation function of the complex envelope of the input signal and the reference pseudo-random sequence are calculated. At each step of the signal delay estimation, the values ​​of the cross-correlation function are calculated. The next element of the sequence is determined, corresponding to the maximum value of the modulus of the cross-correlation function. The current estimate of the delay offset and the rate of its change are formed. Increase and decrease certain values ​​and determine the current time position of the signal.

EFFECT: accuracy of time delay tracking is improved.
