FIELD: cable production.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to moisture-curable compositions for insulation of wire and cable and shell layers. A layer of insulation or shell for a coated conductor consists of (A) cross-linked silane-functionalized polyolefin, (B) filler, (C) silicone-containing polymer, and (D) from 0.00% by wt. to 20% by wt. of a catalyst of silanol condensation per the total weight of the layer of insulation or shell. The filler consists of more than 50% by wt. of silicon dioxide per the total weight of the filler. Polymer is selected from a group consisting of reactive linear silicone-containing polymers, non-reactive linear silicone-containing polymers and non-reactive branched silicon-containing polymers. Silicon dioxide has an average particle size (D50) from 0.01 to 50 mcm.
EFFECT: invention has improved insulation resistance in a wet state.
