FIELD: rail track maintenance.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods and devices for controlling the dosing of bulk cargo. The proposed method and measurement system are based on measuring the distances between a vehicle with a known spring suspension stiffness from which the ballast is unloaded and the plane of the railway track, calculating the weight of the unloaded portion of cargo by the difference measured after each unloading of the ballast multiplied by the stiffness of the spring suspension of the vehicle.
EFFECT: operational data is obtained on the weight of a portion of cargo, mainly ballast, unloaded from the rolling stock and the level of its distribution on the railway track.
