FIELD: nanostructured oxide materials synthesis.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of synthesis of nanostructured oxide materials with magnetic properties. The method includes stirring for an hour the initial solution containing iron and samarium nitrates, and adding NaOH alkali dropwise to it during the entire stirring, thermal treatment of the resulting solution for 12 hours, sedimentation of the obtained powder of samarium ferrite-garnet Sm3Fe5O12 by centrifugation for 3-5 min, adding ethanol in an amount of 25-30 ml and removing residual reaction products during drying for 10 hours. At the same time, the initial solution has the following content of components in 70 ml of distilled water, g: Sm(NO3)36H2O - 2,2-2,8, Fe(NO3)39H2O - 4.0-4.08, NaOH - 18 -22. Thermal treatment of the initial solution is carried out at a temperature of 200-250°С, and further removal of residual reaction products during the drying of the powder is carried out at a temperature of 75-85°С.
EFFECT: increase in adsorption properties, formation of nanostructured magnetic powder Sm3Fe5O12 with particle shapes in the form of a rhombic dodecahedron 1–2 mcm in size, with the presence of a minimum amount of impurities, which make it possible to vary the values of the coercive force and specific magnetization from magnetically soft to magnetically hard material.
