FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to obtaining nanocrystalline magnetic powder of doped yttrium orthoferrite. Initial solution, containing iron nitrate Fe(NO3)3, yttrium nitrate Y(NO3)3 and barium nitrate Ba(NO3)2 as dopant, is boiled for 5 min. Precipitation agent in form of water sodium carbonate solution in amount, required for complete precipitation of cations, is added into obtained solution, cooled to room temperature. Obtained sediment is dried at room temperature to constant weight and calcined in muffle furnace at temperature 750°C for 60 min with formation of nanocrystalline powder of yttrium orthoferrite with composition Y1-xBaxFeO3.

EFFECT: provided is obtaining magnetic powder with perovskite structure, which has specified values of coercive force and specific magnetisation from soft magnetic to hard magnetic material.
