FIELD: medical equipment.

SUBSTANCE: sensor device for helping a person providing assistance in cardiopulmonary resuscitation of a patient suffering from cardiac arrest contains a means of attachment for attaching the sensor device to the patient’s chest, a motion sensor and an interface for sending and/or receiving data and/or commands. The sensor device additionally contains a flat and waterproof main case part, which includes a motion sensor, an electrical energy storage device, a processor and an interface. The main case part contains the upper side, which is touched by the hand of the assisting person during the targeted use of the sensor device, and the lower side, which is touched by the chest of the patient during the targeted use of the sensor device. The sensor device additionally contains a positioning device for precise positioning of the sensor device on the patient’s chest. The positioning device is a measuring standard, which is made extendable from the main case part. Adhesive coating is located on the surface of the upper side of the main case part. The use of a sensor device according to one of the preceding points for analyzing the sequence of movements of a living being is disclosed.

EFFECT: providing a simple and easy-to-use sensor device for providing data when performing first aid measures during resuscitation of a person suffered from cardiac arrest.
