FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device for providing a state of resuscitation or suspension of vital functions through redistribution of minute cardiac output to increase supply of cerebral and cardiac patients. Device comprises an electrically or manually controlled redistribution component in the form of a catheter, a computer, means for detecting blood vessels and a motorized means for introducing the catheter into the artery. Redistribution component in the form of a catheter is connected to the patient and interacts with the patient to provide a redistribution of a minute cardiac output to increase the supply of the brain and heart. Redistribution component follows preset reaction pattern based on electric signal. Computer device is configured to receive patient data and output an electrical signal to control the redistribution component and for presentation of physiological and anatomical characteristics to user or standard response. Patient's data identify the patient's physiological and anatomical characteristics.
EFFECT: provided is a device and method for providing a state of resuscitation or suspending vital functions in cardiac arrest to improve recovery of self-circulation or enlarging the intervention time window, which in turn provides new diagnostic and therapeutic options for patients with cardiac arrest.
